I still don't understand how the banks are going to make their money as well? If they are not lending it and the consumer continues to default because of the low employment, how will they attain record profits? This is definitely some sort of a short term scam that you shouldn't ride very long. The only reason I think the banks could make money is from their investment banking sectors where they borrow money from the government at 0% interest and turn around and buy treasuries.

Agree with Roland below though. I never understand why they call those bankers as top talent!!!???!!! They are just those crowd who sit at the money source. Not even a rocket science business and products. I could bet many of them actually do not have any clues what they are try to sell!!!! Actually there should have been special exam to be a qualify banker...at least...they do understand their product risks!!!
