Future Energy Summit and Exhibition

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry
(ADCCI) is going to take part in the Future Energy
Summit and Exhibition, an event which will start in Abu
Dhabi on Monday, 18th January 2010.

ADCCI’s participation in the “Future Energy” exhibition,
conference and summit gathering comes as part of
efforts being exerted by the chamber for purposes of
promoting Abu Dhabi as an economic and industrial hub
in the region, particularly taking part in this important
international event that is viewed as one of the most
significant exhibitions and forums specialized in the field
of energy. It is also for the purpose of raising awareness
of and making commercial promotion for the future
energy-related sector, which enjoys the Abu Dhabi
Government’s utmost attention and is represented in
such flagship projects as “Masdar” City, HE
Mohammed Rashed Al Hameli, ADCCI
Director-General said, pointing out that the 2010 Future
Energy Exhibition & Conference is a favourable chance
for meeting with senior government officials, chiefs of
leading international organizations as regards subjects of
renewable energy and environment protection, along
with international investors so as to explore, discuss and
develop plans for future energy. The event is also a key
occasion for companies and businesses to be acquainted
with comprehensive solutions in the realm of energy,
environment, equipment, technology and services
sectors.

Mr. Al Hameli explained that the chamber’s involvement
in the Future Energy Exhibition and Conference stems
from both its being a supporter of the Abu Dhabi’s
strategic project; namely, Masdar, and its interest in the
emirate’s all-out strategy for sustainable development
since the chamber published the first sustainability report
on its activities late in last December.

Through the team supervising it, the ADCCI’s pavilion at
the event will provide economic data and information, a
bunch of e-services being rendered by the chamber to
companies and businesses, ad hoc publications on:

how to set up companies, prerequisites that should be
observed for obtaining licences besides information
about companies registered in Abu Dhabi, promotional
information and booklets on investment climate and
opportunities in the emirate, projects in the pipeline over
the upcoming five years, together with lists of future
ventures classified as per activities and business fields
and sectors.

The chamber’s stand is overseen by a professional team
representing ADCCI’s various sectors and departments
in addition to specialists in both providing legal
consultancies and making available technical and
investment information, as well as advisors on matters
related to trade licences and opening offices and
branches of foreign companies.

The ADCCI is in pursuit via such participation of
attracting more international companies, chiefly those
specialized in the energy industry and services and other
world-renowned, highly reputed ones for providing
professional services spanning all sectors and spheres.
